What is Addiction ? Rehab addiction

Addiction usually applies to regular, heavy users of drugs such as heroin or cocaine but it could also involve other kinds hence the term addiction. People with an addiction do not have control over what they are doing, taking or using. The term addiction and addict, however, conjure up all sorts of negative images of people and dehumanise those it is applied to. Their addiction may reach a point at which it is harmful. Addictions do not only include physical things we consume, such as drugs or alcohol, but may include virtually anything, such abstract things as gambling to seemingly harmless products, such as chocolate - in other words, addiction may refer to a substance dependence (e.g. drug addiction) or behavioral addiction (e.g. gambling addiction). Some people even believe that addiction is a disease and that once people are addicts they will always be addicts, even though there is no real evidence to support this view. People can and do change throughout their life.

What is the difference between a habit and an addiction?

A habit is usually learned through repetition and often becomes an involuntary act.it is done by choice. people with the habit can choose to stop, and will subsequently stop successfully if they want to. The psychological/physical part is not really an issue as it is with an addiction. This can easily be deterred by learning what signals this behavior and finding a {way|method}to stop it.

An addiction signals a physical or psychological need to do something. the person is unable to control the aspects of the addiction without help because of the mental or physical conditions involved. This is much harder to Get Over, and generally causes physical or mental suffering when forced to stop. (except: rehab centers can help offenders to quit their addiction)

You simply do a bad habit, often without even thinking about it.
You feel a strong NEED to do something when you have an addiction but simply - with a habit you are in control of your choices, with an addiction you are not in control of your choices.

Overcoming an addict can be a long and {bumpy|difficult}road. At times, it may even feel impossible. But it’s not. If you’re ready to beat your addiction and {willing|ready}to get the support you need, you can recover from alcoholism,drugs,gambling....rehab centers are the best place can help you to recover from addiction.
